Tuna Strike Kit — 3 Tuna Trolling Lures

$50.00

Three tuna lures that work as one spread. A daisy chain teaser to raise the school and two hooked rigs for when they come up — hand-rigged in Fort Lauderdale and ready to fish out of the bag. Tackle only, no apparel.

What's in the Tuna Strike Kit

  • Tuna Flyer — blue/pearl 3-lure daisy chain teaser with holographic mylar flash
  • Tuna Striker — squid-skirted trolling lure, our best-selling tuna rig
  • Phantom Striker — Mahi Pink Phantom 3-hook daisy chain in hot pink and deep purple

Why a teaser earns its place in the spread

Tuna are a school fish. They key on commotion before they key on a single bait, which is why a spread built only from single lures raises far fewer fish than one with a teaser out front. The Tuna Flyer is three skirted heads running in tandem — it looks like a handful of small fish running scared, and its job is to bring the school up and get them competing. The Tuna Striker is what they eat once they are there.

The Phantom Striker does both jobs at once: it is a daisy chain, so it raises fish the way a teaser does, but every squid carries a hook, so the fish it pulls up can be caught on it.

How to fish it

Run the Tuna Flyer in the shotgun or long rigger position, letting it skip and dive just behind the prop wash. Tuna Striker on a flat line, Phantom Striker on the short rigger. Troll 6–9 knots over humps, rips, wrecks, colour changes and temperature breaks. When you mark bait or spot birds working, slow the boat and turn wide so the whole spread sweeps the edge of the school.
