Why these four lures

Mahi hunt by sight, and what they will eat changes with the light and the water. The Phantom Striker is the loud one — a three-hook daisy chain that reads as a fleeing baitball and pulls fish up off the weedline, with a hook in every squid so they can eat it when they arrive. The Mahi Striker is the workhorse. The Ghost Striker is the opposite end of the range: translucent white with pink and silver flash, the closest thing to a real bait, for when the water is gin-clear and the sun is high. The Mahi Chugger pushes water on slick mornings when nothing is showing. Four lures is a working spread, not four versions of the same idea.

How to fish it

Short rigger: Phantom Striker. Long rigger: Ghost Striker. Flat line: Mahi Striker. Prop wash: Mahi Chugger. Troll 6–9 knots along a weedline, colour change or any floating structure — a board, a pallet, a frigate bird working.
