A spread that covers the whole day

Offshore you rarely get to fish for one species. You leave the inlet for mahi, find a rip holding tuna, and come home over wahoo ground. Six lures is what it takes to cover that day without a tackle change: daisy chains that look like a school of bait, hooked rigs across the color range so whatever comes up has something to eat, and a chugger for when it is slick and nothing is showing.

How to fish it

Short rigger: Pink Phantom Striker. Second short: Tuna Flyer. Long riggers: Mahi Ghost Striker and Mahi Striker. Flat line: Tuna Striker. Prop wash: Mahi Chugger. Troll 6 to 9 knots along weedlines, color changes, rips and temperature breaks from 80 feet out to the blue. Work the edge and change position, not lures, until something eats.

Why the long sleeve, not a tee

Because you are on the water from before sunrise to mid afternoon. The white Bar Jacks Yellowfin Tuna Long Sleeve is UPF sun protection and moisture wicking, and it keeps you cooler than a dark shirt in full sun. It is the shirt you actually wear offshore, not the one you change into at the dock.

Rigged in Fort Lauderdale

Every Bar Jacks lure is rigged by hand on heavy duty clear mono leader with ball bearing stainless swivels, and fished in the Gulf Stream before it is sold. Ready out of the package: tie on and drop back.

Sizing: pick each one separately

The shirt and the briefs are sized independently at checkout, because they do not run the same. Shirt Size covers S to 2XL. Brief Size runs Small to XXXL. Pick whatever fits for each; they do not have to match. The snapback is one size, adjustable.
