This is a spread, not a sampler
Offshore you rarely get to fish for one species. You leave the inlet for mahi, find a rip holding tuna, and come home over wahoo ground. Five lures is what it takes to cover that day properly: a teaser out front to raise fish, three hooked rigs across the colour range so whatever comes up has something to eat, and a chugger for when it is slick and nothing is showing.
The Phantom Striker is worth understanding. It is a daisy chain, so it raises fish the way a teaser does — three squid running together look like a fleeing baitball. But unlike a true teaser, every squid carries a hook. It pulls fish up and then lets them eat, which is why it earns a rigger position rather than a free ride.
How to fish it
Short rigger: Phantom Striker. Second short: Tuna Flyer. Long rigger: Ghost Striker. Flat line: Tuna Striker. Prop wash: Mahi Chugger. Troll 6–9 knots along weedlines, colour changes, rips and temperature breaks from 80 feet out to the blue. Work the edge and change position, not lures, until something eats.
